Aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate (ATP) is a novel environmentally friendly anti-rust pigment. ATP, ZnO, and deionized water are mixed and stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes (1000 r/min) using a high-speed disperser. ZnO improves the high acid value of the ATP surface. The suspension is then transferred to a constant-temperature water bath, where tannic acid and KH550 are added. The mixture is stirred at 60°C for 12 hours. After the reaction is complete, the mixture is repeatedly washed three times with deionized water and alcohol solution to remove residual modified substances. The mixture is then dried (105°C) and pulverized to obtain the modified Aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate anti-rust pigment (hereinafter referred to as TA@ATP).
Aluminum tripolyphosphate is widely used in various primers and topcoats. It has good compatibility with varnishes and can be used in combination with various pigments and fillers, as well as various anti-rust pigments, to prepare a variety of high-performance anti-corrosion coatings. It is suitable for solvent-based coatings such as phenolic resins, alkyd resins, epoxy resins, epoxy polyesters, and acrylic resins, as well as various water-soluble resin coatings (such as highly adaptable waterborne epoxy ester dip coatings). It can also be used in thick-film coatings, powder coatings, organic titanium anti-corrosion coatings, rust-resistant coatings, asphalt varnishes, zinc-rich primers, fire-retardant coatings, and heat-resistant coatings.
Aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate is a white microcrystalline powder, slightly soluble in water. It is non-toxic, non-irritating to the skin, and does not contain lead, chromium and other harmful heavy metal elements. Aluminium tripolyphosphate is widely used in various primers and bottom-integrated coatings. It is compatible with varnish and can be used with different pigments and fillers. It can also be combined with various anti-rust pigments to prepare various high-performance anti-corrosion coatings.
