Tri-n-amylamine is a liquid mixture of isomers. It is soluble in alcohol and
ether.
Corrosion inhibitor, insecticidal preparations.
Clear colorless to yellow liquid with an amine odor. Flash point 215°F. Density 0.80 g / cm3.
TRIAMYLAMINE may react with oxidizing agents. Neutralizes acids in exothermic reactions to form salts plus water. May be incompatible with isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. May generate flammable gaseous hydrogen in combination with strong reducing agents, such as hydrides.
TRIAMYLAMINE is combustible.
The ITSL for triamylamine has been changed from 0.04 μg/m3 to 0.1 μg/m3 based on an annual averaging time.
