Neosalvarsan (compound 914) is a salt derivative of Salvarsan and is water soluble, which showed
reduced side effects .Later work showed that neither Salvarsan nor
Neosalvarsan was the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
Yellow powder or granules. Easily oxidized in air, accelerated by high temperatures. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, chloroform, and ether.
