Deacetyl ganoderic acid F (DeGA F) is a triterpenoid isolated from Ganoderma lucidum, which is a famous edible and medicinal mushroom used for treatment of dizziness and insomnia in traditional medicine for a long time. In vitro studies have shown that DeGA F has significant anti-inflammatory effects, and the modulation of the NF-κB pathway may be the main mechanism for the anti-inflammatory effects of DeGA F. In addition, DeGA F also inhibited LPS-induced NF-κB activation in mouse brain, which has potential therapeutic effects on neuroinflammation-related diseases.
