? with methyl iodide in the presence of potassium carbonate in refluxing acetone for 3 h (85%) or for 12 h (91%) ;
? with methyl bromide in the presence of potassium carbonate in refluxing acetone for 20 h;
? with dimethyl sulfate,
– in the presence of potassium carbonate in boiling benzene for 90 min (51%) or in boiling acetone ;
– in the presence of alkali in boiling ethanol.
