A white or pinkish white powder. It is odorless and nearly tasteless.
One g dissolves in about 5 mL of citric acid solution (1 in 4). It
is slightly soluble in water, and is insoluble in alcohol. The glycerophosphates may be salts of either β- or α-glycerophosphoric
acid.
