TERT-BUTYL N-[5-(TOSYLOXY)PENTYL]CARBAMATE

5-((tert-Butoxycarbonyl)amino)pentyl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate is a PEG linker containing a Boc protected amine and a tosyl group. The protected amine can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions. The tosyl group is a very good leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
