Lanthanum Acetate is a moderately water-soluble crystalline Lanthanum source that decomposes to Lanthanum oxide on heating. Acetates are excellent precursors for the production of ultra-high purity compounds, catalysts, and nanoscale materials. Lanthanum Acetate is used as a catalyst for automobile exhaust purification; it is added to the dominant catalyst for the production of styrene from methylbenzene to improve styrene formation and is also applied in glass polishing, ceramics, catalysts, and phosphors.
