Commercial production typically starts from arsenic(V) precursors that are fluorinated to form a stable hexafluoroarsenate salt (“hexaflurate”), followed by neutralisation with the chosen counter ion to obtain the technical grade product.
Absorbed through roots. Probably an inhibitor of crassulacean acid metabolism.
Confirmed human
carcinogen. Poison by intravenous route.
Moderately toxic by ingestion. When heated
to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes
