Polyenes drug
Polyene antifungal drug is widely used in clinical anti-fungal infection. The mechanism of action is associating with ergosterol in the cell membrane of fungi, interfering with metabolism, increasing cell membrane permeability, leading to cell death. According to the structure polyene drug can be divided into:
- 1, polyene macrocyclic antibiotic;
- 2, chain polyene;
- 3, nucleoside;
- 4, other non-olefin.
There also includes some antifungal compounds synthesized in chemical, their chemical structure is completely different from antifungal compounds that commonly used in clinical.
