Description
Equisetin is a fungal metabolite isolated from Fusarium that demonstrates antibiotic and cytotoxic activity. It inhibits HIV-1 integrase with an IC50 value of 7-20 μM. Equisetin is also reported to block the mitochondrial transport of ATP, inorganic phosphate, and succinate via a currently undetermined mechanism.
