Description
Bongkrekic acid is a mitochondrial permeability transition pore blocker that acts as an inhibitory ligand of the mitochondrial adenine nucleotide translocator. This compound has been shown to inhibit apoptosis by preventing PARP cleavage and DEVDase activity.
