Poly(methacrylic acid sodium salt) is used as an analytical standard in the development of nebulized amphotericin B-polymethacrylic acid nanoparticles for use as pre-exposure prophylaxis agents to deliver anti-microbial drugs to the lung and inhibition of fungal infections caused by Aspergillus species.
