  • Uses Neurokinin A is an endogenous tachykinin agonist with preference for the NK-2R.
  • General Description Neurokinin A is an 11 amino acid peptide. It is a member of tachykinin family, which includes neurokinin A, neurokinin B, neuropeptide K, neuropeptide Y and hemokinin-1. The gene encoding neurokinin A is localized on human chromosome 7q21.3.
  • Biochem/physiol Actions Neurokinin A improves the multiplication and paracrine ability of stem cells acquired from adipose in vitro. It participates in the movement of several organ tracts, triggers glandular secretion and controls autonomic reflexes. Neurokinin A plays an important role in neuroimmune and systemic autoimmune/inflammatory conditions like multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and also in infections and cancer.
