Broflanilide is a pesticide for controlling animals and microbial pests such as unwanted insects. Broflanilide is a prominent insecticide because of it’s effective against pests with resistance to cyclodienes and fipronil. Broflanilide is metabolized to desmethyl-broflanilide that acts as a noncompetitive resistant-to-dieldrin (RDL) γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor antagonist.

An insecticide that exhibits high larvicidal activity against Spodoptera litura and is effective against pests with resistance to cyclodienes and fipronil It has a role as an agrochemical and a GABA antagonist.
