Description
1-Stearoyl-2-arachidonoyl-
sn-glycero-3-PE is a naturally-occurring phospholipid that is formed
via the phosphatidylserine decarboxylation pathway in mammalian cells. It has been used in the generation of giant unilamellar vesicles for use in the study of biological membranes.
Uses
SAPE is used in the mRNA combination therapy for treatment of cancer.
Uses
18:0-20:4 PE maybe used in the preparation of liposomes.
Definition
ChEBI: 1-stearoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine zwitterion is a phosphatidylethanolamine 38:4 zwitterion obtained by transfer of a proton from the phosphate to the primary amino group of 1-octadecanoyl-2-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-icosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine; major species at pH 7.3. It is a phosphatidylethanolamine 38:4 zwitterion and a 1-stearoyl-2-acyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine zwitterion. It is a tautomer of a 1-stearoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine.
