Frullania tamarisci Dum. (l-Frullanolide) and Frullania
dilatata Dum. (d-frullanolide), a lichen that grows on
lobed-leaf trees such as oak and beech. Sensitivity causes
airborne and sometimes severe polymorphous erythemalike
allergic contact dermatitis, mainly in foresters and in
people using firewood, lumbermen, sawyers, carpenters,
and merchants in rough timber.
