Synthesis
The most commonly used method of preparation for 1-Pyrrolidino-1-cyclopentene is the acid-catalyzed condensation of
a secondary amine with cyclopentanone (eq 1).
storage
1-Pyrrolidino-1-cyclopentene readily reacts with water or atmospheric oxygen; should be stored under dry nitrogen.
