Barium antimonate, BaSb
2O
6, has been tested as an
opacifier in enamels used on cast iron. Barium antimonate has been found to be a useful
additive to varistor-ceramic compositions.
Description
Barium antimonate can be prepared by the solid-state
reaction of BaO or BaCO
3 with Sb
2O
5 in air at about
1200°C.
