Chemical Properties

White monoclinic crystal or amorphous powder. Non-toxic and tasteless. Slightly soluble in water, the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline. The solubility in water is 0.02% (15°C). Soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution.

Uses

Magnesium carbonate, light ar is used as a filler and reinforcing agent for rubber, as a fire-proof thermal insulation material, an insulating material, and also in shipbuilding, boiler manufacturing, and daily chemicals.
