N-Methyl-p-toluenesulfonamide (p-TsNHCH₃), acting as a nitrogen source, forms a catalyst-free amine bromination system with N-bromosuccinimide (NBS), which is used to directly convert various alkenes (including aromatic, aliphatic, and cyclic alkenes) into o-bromoamines[1].
