It is also moisturizing and can help smooth the skin. Propolis is made up of resins, balsam, various waxes, essential oils, pollen, flavonoids, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. This is a component of beeswax, often referred to by beekeepers as “bee glue.” It is collected from trees, shrubs, flowers, and other types of plants visited by bees.
