Chemical Properties

Pigment Red 254 (PR 254) is a high-performance organic pigment, both a dye and a pigment. Available in two shades, yellow and blue, it boasts vibrant color, strong tinting strength, and excellent dispersibility. It also exhibits excellent solvent resistance, a lightfastness rating of Class 8, and a temperature resistance of 300°C. Its chemical structure is stable, resisting decomposition and maintaining its vibrant red color over time. Its primary component, amino acid silver salt, exhibits excellent light and weather resistance.

Uses

3,6-Bis(4-chlorophenyl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4(2H,5H)-dione is Pigment Red 254; used in preparation method of high-performance polyurethane waterborne waterproof coating.
