Safety Profile
Poison by ingestion, intravenous, intraperitoneal, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and parented routes. Human systemic effects by ingestion: wakefulness, hallucinations, distorted perceptions, toxic psychosis. An analeptic, central nervous system stimulant; used to counteract barbiturate poisoning. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx.
