Soluble in common organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, toluene, and xylene; insoluble in water. Stable to light and heat, stable in acidic conditions, but decomposes in the presence of alkali.

Moderately toxic by ingestion. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic vapors of Clí.
