2,2''-Difluoro diphenyl disulfide

General method: The catalyst melt (5 mol%) was reacted with o-fluorothiophenol (1 eq.) under nitrogen protection at 100 °C with stirring for 6 hours. The reaction process was monitored by thin layer chromatography (TLC). Upon completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and filtered through a sintered glass funnel. The filtrate was sequentially washed three times with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and subsequently concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting oily product was purified by hexane column chromatography to give the final target compound 2,2'-difluorodiphenyl disulfide (2a-k).
