White crystalline powder

Terephthalic dihydrazide serves as a latent curing agent in one-component metal-to-metal epoxy adhesives and cures solventless DGEBA resin, with about 26 phr giving the stoichiometric amount[1]. In PVC compounding it acts as a secondary plasticizer, and PVC sheets containing increasing amounts show 5–15% higher thermal stability[2].
