RPW-24 protects C. elegans from bacterial infection by stimulating the host immune response of the nematode. RPW-24 has antibacterial activity[1].

ChEBI: R24 is a member of the class of quinazolines that is quinazoline-2,4-diamine in which one of the hydrogens attached to the amino group at position 2 is replaced by a 3-chloro-4-methylphenyl group. It has been found to stimulate the immune defences of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans, so affording protection from bacterial infection. It has a role as an immunomodulator. It is a member of quinazolines, a primary amino compound, a secondary amino compound, a substituted aniline and a member of monochlorobenzenes.
