What can Celite filters be used for?
Apr 25,2024
Celite filter is one of the commonly used methods of removing impurities from chemical analysis methods and can be used to filter very fine particles that are beyond the reach of ordinary filter paper. It is also commonly used in synthetic inorganic chemistry, in order to remove fine solids, such as metal salts, from reaction mixtures. Diatomaceous earth can be used as an adsorbent for column chromatography and is particularly useful for large-scale reactions where standard casing filtration times are too long.
