Deflazacort is a steroid medicine also known as glucocorticoids which occur naturally in the body. These glucocorticoids help to maintain health and wellbeing. Deflazacort increases the corticosteroids levels in the body, which helps in treating various illnesses involving inflammation (redness, tenderness, heat and swelling).

Interactions with Other Medicines

Some medicines can affect the way deflazacort works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of different medicines taken at the same time.

Especially, if you are taking antidiabetic medicines, medicines for epilepsy, certain anti-infectives, blood thinners, antacids and medicines for heart-related disorders.

Storage

Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Ask your healthcare professional how you should dispose of any medicine you do not use. Throw away any unused oral suspension after 1 month of first opening the bottle.
