Yes. L-Carnosine is a potential therapeutic agent for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) currently in the research phase and not yet in clinical use. L-Carnosine comprises β-alanine and L-histidine. Research indicates it possesses neuroprotective, antioxidant, and anticonvulsant properties, which may benefit affected children with this condition. Furthermore, it has been shown to improve speech comprehension, social skills, and behaviour in children with ASD, while reducing hyperactivity. However, it does not appear to cure ASD.
