An protective bactericide---Mancozeb

Mancozeb is an ethylene dithiocarbamate (EBDCs) fungicide that was industrially produced by Rohm & Hass in 1961. In 1986, Mancozeb was included in my country's key pesticide research projects, and the Xi'an Institute of Modern Chemistry and the Shenyang Institute of Chemical Industry have successively developed them successfully.

Control object:

Mancozeb is an excellent protective bactericide with a broad bactericidal spectrum. It is widely used to prevent and control diseases caused by a variety of oomycetes, ascomycetes, deuteromycetes and basidiomycetes on fruit trees, vegetables and food crops, such as Blight, damping-off of vegetable seedlings, melon downy mildew, anthracnose, brown spot, green pepper, tomato blight, potato late blight, wheat rust and powdery mildew, tobacco black shank, pear scab, citrus Scab, ulcer disease, apple spotted leaf disease, grape downy mildew. 

Mancozeb is not easy to produce resistance, its control effect is significantly better than other similar fungicides, and it has the effect of increasing yield and protecting crops. Mancozeb is a multi-site fungicide, which can effectively inhibit the oxidation of pyruvate in the bacteria, and elements such as manganese and zinc have obvious effects on crop growth and increase production. Mancozeb is often mixed with systemic fungicides to achieve the purpose of improving the control effect and delaying pathogen resistance.

Effect:

Most of the domestic compound fungicides are processed and formulated by mancozeb. Among them, the manganese and zinc trace elements have a higher effect on crop growth and yield increase. After more than ten years of field application, it has shown that Star disease, apple leaf spot disease, melon and vegetable blight, downy mildew, field crop rust, etc. have obvious effects, and without adding other fungicides, the occurrence of diseases can be completely and effectively controlled, and the quality of mancozeb is stable, reliable.
