1,3-Bis(3-aminophenoxy)benzene, 1,3-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzene and 1,4-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzene are three isomers of APB. Any one of these compounds may react with 3,3',4,4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA) to form polyimide. This serves as a precursor material for the preparation of polymeric materials such as resins and films.
