性状：DL-蛋氨酸为白色薄片状结晶或结晶性粉末。有特殊气味。味微甜。熔点281℃（分解）。10％水溶液的PH值5.6～6.1。无旋光性。对热及空气稳定。对强酸不稳定，可导致脱甲基作用。溶于水（3.3g/100ml，25℃）、稀酸和稀碱溶液。极难溶于乙醇，几乎不溶于乙醚。

用途：营养增补剂。人体必需氨基酸之一。

DESCRIPTION: Flake white crystal or crystalline powder. With special smell. Slightly sweet flavor. Melting point is 281 ℃ (decomposition). 10% aqueous solution of the PH value of 5.6 ~ 6.1. No optical activity.

It is stable to thermal and air. Instability to acid and can lead to demethylation. Soluble in water (3.3g/100ml, 25 ℃), acid and dilute alkaline solution. Extremely difficultly dissolve ethanol, practically insoluble in ether.

APPLICATION: nutritional supplements. One essential amino acids.
