Certepetide (CEND-1) is a bifunctional cyclic peptide (a.k.a. iRGD), consisting of a 9-amino acid cyclic polypeptide with a pair of disulfide bonds. Certepetide is a tumor-penetrating peptide that interacts with α-V integrins through its RGD motif and activates neuropilin-1 (NRP-1), thereby transforming the solid tumor microenvironment into a transient drug delivery conduit. Certepetide can accumulate in tumors and is used in research on pancreatic cancer and other solid tumors.
