描述PACAP (1-38) free acid is a deamidated PACAP (1-38) derived from humans, sheep, and rats. PACAP (1-38) free acid can activate the human PAC1 receptor and promote cyclic adenosine monophosphate synthesis in NS‑1 neuroendocrine cells and non-neuroendocrine HEK293 cells.
体外活性PACAP (1-38) free acid在 48 小时处理条件下可促进 NS‑1 细胞发生神经内分泌分化，EC50 为 10.6 nM。在 0.1–300 nM 浓度范围内、经 24 小时干预后，PACAP (1‑38) free acid 能够诱导 NS‑1 细胞出现生长停滞现象 [1]。
