描述Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium (W/W 43%) is an orally administered glycosaminoglycan analogue exhibiting anti-inflammatory and anti-HIV effects, indicated for interstitial cystitis.
体外活性Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium表现出抗 HIV-1 活性：在 MT-4 细胞中，其 50% 抗病毒有效剂量（ED₅₀）为 0.19 μg/mL。在 HUT-78 细胞中，抑制 HIV-1 抗原表达的 ED₅₀为 0.02 μg/mL，且当浓度达到 4.0 μg/mL时，可实现 HIV-1 抗原表达的完全抑制 [2]。 在近端肾小管细胞中，Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium（200 μg/ml）预处理显著降低TNFα引起的MCP-1、RANTES、MIP-2、ICAM-1和iNOS等基因表达上调 [3]。
体内活性在老年糖尿病C57B6小鼠中，Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium（25 mg/kg/天，口服，持续4个月）治疗保护了肾功能，显著减少了蛋白尿，并明显降低了肾病变的严重程度，包括肾小管间质炎症。Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium还降低了衰老糖尿病肾脏中TNFα和促炎基因的上调[3]。
