化学性质无色或淡黄色液体。用途用作医药中间体用途用作医药、农药中间体生产方法96-48-05061-21-2以γ-丁内酯为原料合成α-溴-γ-丁内酯的一般步骤（溴化步骤）：在配备有搅拌装置、回流装置、温度计、滴液漏斗和氮气导入管的1000mL反应容器中，加入200g（2.32mol）γ-丁内酯和2.76g（0.086mol，基于γ-丁内酯的3.7mol%）硫作为催化剂。将431g（2.70mol）溴装入滴液漏斗中。启动搅拌，控制反应温度不超过40℃，缓慢滴加溴。滴加完毕后，将反应温度升至约90℃，维持此温度反应1小时。随后，将温度升至约110℃，继续反应3小时。
