CD210 antibody targets the interleukin-10 receptor alpha (IL-10Rα), a key component of the IL-10 receptor complex. IL-10 is an anti-inflammatory cytokine critical for modulating immune responses, and its receptor consists of two subunits: IL-10Rα (CD210) and IL-10Rβ. CD210 is primarily expressed on immune cells, including T cells, B cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells, facilitating IL-10-mediated signaling to suppress excessive inflammation and maintain immune homeostasis. The binding of IL-10 to CD210 activates the JAK1/TYK2-STAT3 pathway, regulating genes involved in anti-inflammatory responses and cell survival.

CD210 antibodies are widely used in research to study IL-10 signaling mechanisms, immune regulation, and diseases linked to IL-10 pathway dysregulation, such as autoimmune disorders, chronic infections, and cancers. These antibodies enable detection of CD210 expression via techniques like flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot. Additionally, therapeutic applications are explored, as blocking CD210 may counteract immunosuppressive environments in tumors or enhance inflammatory responses in persistent infections. However, aberrant IL-10 signaling is also implicated in inflammatory bowel disease and lupus, making CD210 a potential biomarker or therapeutic target. CD210 antibodies thus serve as essential tools for both basic research and translational studies in immunology and oncology.
