名称	Geraniol
描述	geraniol provides a potent protective effect against cardiac dysfunction induced by diabetes. This ameliorative effect could be attributed to its suppression of oxidative stress.
动物实验	Diabetes was induced in rats by a single streptozotocin injection. In the treated group,geraniol (150mg/kg/day) was administered orally starting from the 15th day after induction of diabetes, and ending after 7 weeks; diabetic control rats were given vehicle for the same period. At the end of the study, cardiac contractility was assessed by using a Millar microtip catheter in anesthetised rats, and cardiac conductivity determined by a surface ECG. Serum levels of glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride and adiponectin as well as urine 8-isoprostane were determined
体内活性	Geraniol抑制了糖尿病动物中QTc和T-peak-T-end间期的增长，以及左室（LV）缺血和心律失常的标志物。通过阻止8-isoprotane的增加，Geraniol压制了过度的氧化应悸。在糖尿病心脏组织中，Geraniol防止了过氧化氢酶活性的抑制，但对心脏SOD无影响。Geraniol部分减轻了高血糖，防止了高胆固醇血症，但对糖尿病动物的血清脂联素水平没有影响。
