GCLE was a new intermediate for synthetic cephalosporin antibiotics. Especially in synthesis such as cefdinir, cefixime, ceftazidime has a very big advantage; In addition GCLE also used for the synthesis of new cephalosporins such as cefprozil which the synthesis of the traditional three nucleus can not synthesize.
