Schisandrin B is a highly active dibenzo[a,c]cyclooctadiene lignan monomer isolated from the traditional Chinese herb Schisandra. It is one of the signature components responsible for the core effects of Schisandra: hepatoprotection, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotection. Among the various lignans in Schisandra, Schisandrin B is particularly notable for its 卓越 ability to induce endogenous antioxidant defense systems, protect mitochondrial function, resist apoptosis, exhibit anti-inflammatory effects, and modulate drug-metabolizing enzymes through multiple, in-depth cellular protective mechanisms.
