Overview:
Organic hydrogen-containing trialkoxysilane is one of the important intermediates in organosilicchemistry and organosilane industry, and its importance in organosilane industry is second only to organohalosilane. The general chemical formula is HSi(OR)3, where R is generally a directly connected alkane with less than 4 carbon atoms.
Applications:
The Si-OC2H5 bond in triethoxysilane can be converted into polysiloxane by hydrolyzing condensation, and the Si-H bond energy reacts with a series of alkenes and acetylene monomers by hydrosilylation under the catalysis of platinum catalyst to obtain a variety of silicone coupling agents (Y(CH2)nSiX3), silicone end-cured ethers, polyacrylate sealants and adhesives, etc. It is also suitable for the preparation of many high purity silicone compounds, such as modified silane sealants, antifoggants, water repellents, silane coupling agents (such as vinyl, epoxy and methacryloxy derivatives) and coating materials.
