1. Toluhydroquinone is an important intermediate in the industrial synthesis of vitamin E. It can be obtained by condensation reaction with the side chain of isophytol.
2. Toluhydroquinone is the main ring, and the side chain C isophytol can be obtained by heating condensation in ethyl acetate under the condition of sulfuric acid as condenser. In recent years, due to the wide application of vitamin E in medical, food, feed and other fields, vitamin E products continue to be popular in the global market, especially in Europe and the United States.
