Terbutaline sulfate, also known as Bricanyl, Bricanyl Durules, Brethine, Buventol, and Terbutaline sulfate, is a selective β2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It has both bronchodilator and expectorant properties and is clinically used for bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and bronchospasm caused by other lung diseases. It can also be used to prevent premature birth and fetal distress.
