The solution is weakly acidic, and the pH of 1% aqueous solution is 5.8 ~ 6.0, the concentration increases, and the pH changes little. Dissolved in water, hypochlorous acid is produced, and its hydrolysis constant is 1×10-4, which is higher than chloramine T. The stability of aqueous solution is poor, and the loss of Chemicalbook effective chlorine is accelerated under ultraviolet action. The lower concentration can quickly kill various bacterial propagules, fungi, viruses, and has special effects on hepatitis virus. It has the characteristics of high chlorine content, strong bactericidal effect, simple process and cheap price. The toxicity of sodium dichloroisocyanurate is lower, and the bactericidal effect is better than that of bleaching powder and chloramine-T. Chlorine fumigant or acid chlorine fumigant can be prepared by mixing metal reducing agent or acid synergist with potassium permanganate and sodium dichloroisocyanurate dry powder. This kind of fuming agent produces a strong bactericidal gas after ignition.
