Basic Red 1 Properties and Applications:
It's appearance is green with flashing sand or lumpy. Soluble in cold and hot water, highly soluble in alcohol, both appear blue-green. It is yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, diluted turn into dark red; Orange in concentrated nitric acid, diluted turn into orange brown . It's aqueous solution with sodium hydroxide has green light-white precipitate, add hydrochloric acid to red -yellow.

2. Acrylic fiber dyeing: in the bath of silk and sodium acetate, the pH value of dyeing bath is below 5, if sulfuric acid bath, the color is slightly yellow; With formic acid bath, colored light yellow. Often used with fuchsin (C.I.B asicViolet14) spell dyed acrylic yarn, black to black color.
