Introduction to potassium bisulfate
Potassium bisulfate (formula: KHSO4) is a salt of potassium bisulfate. Rare heavy potassium alum and fiber heavy potassium alum exist in nature. It is an acid salt, very acidic, generally used as an acidic reagent in the red wine industry and analytical chemistry. An aqueous solution is similar to a mixture of potassium sulfate and sulfuric acid; if mixed with ethanol, the insoluble potassium sulfate is precipitated.
