NADP disodium (24292-60-2) |
NADP disodium, also known as β-Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate disodium salt. β-Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate, a coenzyme composed of ribosylnicotinamide 5′-phosphate (NMN) coupled by pyrophosphate linkage to the 5′-phosphate adenosine 2′,5′-bisphosphate. It serves as an electron carrier in a number of reactions, being alternately oxidized (NADP+) and reduced (NADPH). |

DESCRIPTION |
General description |
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) and NADPH form a redox pair. The NADPH/NADP ratio regulates the intracellular redox potential, thereby influencing metabolic reactions in vivo. |
Application |
The β-NADH phosphate disodium salt has been used for the quantification of glucose in glycogen. It has also been used for the hexokinase assay. |
Preparation Note |
Storage conditions (working solution): 2 to 8 °C |
10 mg/ml in aqueous solution, contains at least 99% NADP after 4 weeks at 2 to 8 °C |
