IGF-1LR3 is a hormone with a molecular weight of 7.6kD and a molecular structure similar to insulin. The main mechanism of action is to induce intracellular signal transduction by binding to its specific receptor (IGF1R). IGF-1LR3 is one of the most effective activators of the AKT signaling pathway. After activating the AKT signaling pathway, it stimulates cell growth and proliferation and inhibits cell apoptosis. IGF-1LR3 adds 13 amino acids to the N-terminus of the complete IGF-1 molecule to form an 83-amino acid long-chain IGF-1, and replaces the third amino acid glutamic acid (E) of the IGF-1 molecule with arginine (R), so it is called R3. Compared with unmodified IGF-1, IGF-1LR3 has higher stability and biological activity.
